The Foundation Years
What started as weekend workshops in a small Malaga community center has grown into something much bigger. Back then, we noticed a gap – people wanted to learn about investing but felt overwhelmed by complex jargon and intimidating financial advisors who seemed more interested in selling products than teaching.
- Launched with 12 founding members in our first investment basics workshop
- Developed our signature "plain English" approach to financial education
- Established partnerships with local Perth financial institutions for practical learning
- Created our first structured curriculum covering budgeting, saving, and basic investment principles
The early days taught us that financial education isn't about showing off complicated formulas – it's about building confidence. We watched participants transform from being afraid to check their bank statements to actively managing diversified portfolios.
